Summer Teams

IFES Ireland will be offering a number of summer team opportunities in 2010.

Application procedures: Successful applicants will be invited to join the team after submitting an application form,  receipt of references, and completion of an informal interview.

Peru

Over the past four years IFES Ireland has been building links with the Peruvian Christian student movement AGEUP. Through Latin Link's summer Step programme Christian students from all over Ireland have had the opportunity to meet with, learn from and encourage students who are serving Christ on their campuses in Peru. In summer 2010 IFES Ireland again plan to send a Step team to Peru. The team will be based in Cusco and/or Lima and will engage with national students in outreach and discipleship together.

When?
Approximately four weeks in summer 2010. Provisional dates are 23rd June to 23rd July but there is flexibility with this so please get in touch even if these exact dates aren't suitable for you. We also have a training weekend planned from 30th April to
1st May which we hope all team members will be able to attend as they prepare to serve.

Who can go?
We are looking for committed Christians aged 17 and over who are actively involved
in their church. Students and graduates are welcome to apply. Applicants should be flexible, able to show initiative, willing to work as part of a team and be open to learn.

How much?
The cost will be in the region of £1850/€2050 (all inclusive - flights, insurance, accommodation, health checks, food, travel in Peru and debrief on return).
