Graduate Events

Workspace
It's good to read articles and books to help us live for Christ in the workplace. But it's even better if we can meet together to learn from and encourage each other. So we've planned a series of events specifically for graduates.
Each evening will address an issue facing Christians after they graduate. Not only will there be a guest speaker, but there will be plenty of time for discussion and sharing experiences (over obligatory coffee of course). We hope these evenings will not only be helpful but relaxed and full of good banter! So please come along and bring a friend to hold your hand.
The next three events in 2008 are:
22 January - Ambition - Climbing that greasy pole
Following on from the articles here we will be discussing what a healthy view of ambition and success might be, and what that could look like where you are.
11 March - In Transition - Finding your place
The first few years after university are a huge transition, finding jobs, finding your feet, learning to handle money and responsibility, finding somewhere to live, a church. We'll have some pointers on handling and coping with those changes to kick off a huge topic.
13 May - Living Ethically - Stewardship unpacked
Ethical living is pretty trendy today, as Christians we are called to be wise stewards of all God gives us - how can we go about that and where do we draw the lines?
Each event is on a Tuesday evening at 7.30pm in Common Grounds, 12-24 University Avenue, Belfast, BT7 1GY - click here to view a map. We apologise for the geographical discrimination, if all goes well we will extend the programme to other regions next year.
