CU Annual Conference

One Death Won Life

Why is Christianity the only religion that celebrates its leader's death? Does an event 2000 years ago really have relevance for people today? Was it fair that Jesus should die instead of us? For many of us, the cross is what you believe when you become a Christian but then you need to move on. So why are we having a conference on the cross?

The cross is absolutely central to being a Christian. This year Lindsay Brown will be speaking from Philippians on how ‘One Death Won Life’. It’s going to be a great weekend of looking deeper into what Christ did at the cross and what that means for us in the main sessions, workshops, times of prayer and praise, and fellowship with students from campuses all around Ireland.

Lindsay Brown, a Welshman, was IFES International General Secretary from 1991 - 2007. He is now international Director for The Lausanne Movement and trains university evangelists in Europe for several weeks a year.
